1. This is a community effort. The community is made up of Bob Capa and Irwin Shaw.
2. We had intended sending you some flowers with this note inviting you to dinner tonight. After joint consultation we discovered that we could pay either for the flowers or the dinner but not both. We took a vote and dinner won by a fraction.
3. It was suggested that the flowers be sent to you should you not be interested in the dinner — no decision has yet been taken on this subject.
4. As well as the flowers, we have many questionable qualities.
5. If we continue writing, we will not have any conversation left. Our reserve of charm is limited.
6. We will call you at 6:15.
7. We cannot sleep.
