theodore is very brave and explains to me that “life is too short and full of beautiful things to do.” he has a heavy accent, a shaved head, thick eyebrows, and brown oxford slippers. he also carries a briefcase and tells me that he is an astronomer. he teaches on an island, population 15,000, in a school with only 100 students. he tells me that he counsels troubled youth on the side....

i’ve woken up at exactly 6:36am for five days straight now. this afternoon i put an empty water glass on the shelf of our refrigerator with one hand and poured water all over a jam jar with the other.
i suspect the two incidents are related.
